Super-active analogs of growth hormone-releasing factor (1-29)-amide (Lance VA et al., 1984)
CJC-1295 without DAC, also known as Mod GRF 1-29, is a synthetic 29-amino-acid analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Substitutions at positions 2, 8, 15, and 27 increase resistance to enzymatic degradation while preserving GHRH receptor activity.
Unlike CJC-1295 with DAC, it lacks the Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) that allows binding to serum albumin. As a result, it has a much shorter half-life (~30 minutes) and produces a more pulsatile pattern of GH release.
It is used as a research tool in studies of the GHRH receptor and somatotropic axis.
