Thymosin beta 4 regulation of actin in sepsis (Belsky JB et al., 2018)
Thymosin beta 4: A potential novel adjunct treatment for bacterial keratitis (Sosne G et al., 2023)
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 17-23 of thymosin β-4 (Tβ4), an actin-binding protein widely distributed in mammalian tissues.
It has been studied in preclinical research for effects on cell migration, angiogenesis, wound repair, and cardiac and corneal tissue regeneration. The full thymosin β-4 molecule has also been investigated in early-phase clinical research for various tissue repair indications.
It is used as a research tool in studies of tissue repair and the actin cytoskeleton.
