Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of GHRH (1-44) with an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl modification that increases stability against DPP-4 degradation.
It has been studied in clinical research as a GHRH receptor agonist that stimulates endogenous growth hormone secretion. It is approved in the U.S. for the reduction of excess abdominal fat in HIV-associated lipodystrophy and has been investigated in research on visceral adiposity, lipid metabolism, and cognition in older adults.
It is used as a reference long-acting GHRH analog in metabolic and endocrine research.
For research purposes only. Not for human consumption.
